Fayette County Healthy Lifestyles Task Force Promotes County Parks and Trails as
Cost-Free Option for Families to Be Active

Parks and trails are a great location for families to combine fun, learning and physical activity. As a member of Fayette County’s Keystone Active Zone partnership, Fayette County’s Healthy Lifestyles Task Force is encouraging families to head outdoors and enjoy nature’s natural beauty as a backdrop for FREE family entertainment.   • Request a copy of Fayette County’s Keystone Active Zone Summer Passport by contacting Steps to a Healthier Fayette County at 724-439-1484 or click here to download..
  • Attend a minimum of five Keystone Active Zone celebration events, event details will be available at www.keystoneactivezone.org or www.stepstoahealthierfayettecounty.org.  Have event staff or a parent initial and date each number on your passport punchcard.
  • Return completed Summer Passports to Steps to a Healthier Fayette County at 168 South Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, PA, or drop them off in the youth building at the Fayette County Fair and receive a prize just for participating. You will also be win great prizes at Wednesday Summer Walking Series evening events!
The first step is finding an activity you enjoy. Here you’ll discover some great ways to exercise right here in Fayette County. Join an aerobics class or a yoga session. Go on a family hike or bike ride. You can even learn new ways to exercise at home. So look around, have fun and get moving!
