Ferncliff Peninsula National Natural Landmark
Part of the Ohiopyle State Park, Ferncliff was created by a meander in the Youghiogheny River. This 100-acre peninsula is a unique habitat that contains many rare and interesting plants.  Recognized for its botanical diversity for over a century, in 1973 the peninsula was declared a National Natural Landmark.

58,000 acres along the Laurel and Chestnut Ridges with more than 250 miles of hiking trails, 115 miles of snowmobile and mountain bike trails, and 150 miles of cross-country ski trails.  The 7,441-acre Quebec Run Wild Area has an extensive forested, mountainous trail network.  Natural areas include the 3,700-acre Roaring Run and 650-acre Mt. Davis, the highest point in the state (3,213 feet).

Located along the Monongahela River in the southwestern portion of Fayette County, German-Masontown Park is the largest of the County-owned parks consisting of 125-1/2 acres and part of both German Township and Masontown Borough.  This park offers baseball fields, pavilions, an outdoor amphitheatre, a playground, tennis courts, soccer field, a bocce court, horseshoe pits and a walking path.
